Recombinant human interleukin 17F (IL-17F), expressed in engineered human cells, is a glycosylated disulfide linked homodimer with 40% homology to IL-17A. IL-17F promotes the production of TGF beta, G-CSF and IL-6. IL-17F stimulates peripheral blood mononuclear cell proliferation as well as T-cell proliferation and inhibits endothelial angiogenesis. IL-17F is important in cartilage matrix turnover.
