Background:

Recombinant human IL-1 beta, expressed in engineered human cells, is a proinflammatory cytokine produced by monocytes and other cell types such as activated macrophages, neutrophils, T, B and NK cells. IL-1 beta stimulates T-helper cells and promotes proliferation of B cells and immunoglobulin synthesis. IL-1 beta has inhibitory properties on endothelial cells.
